Momentum in Montreal: Producing the NABSA Annual Conference
Albrecht Events was proud to support the North American Bikeshare and Scootershare Association with their Annual Conference, held in October of 2025, in Montreal, Quebec. Over the course of three days, transportation innovators, city leaders, operators, and advocates gathered from across North America, and around the world, to celebrate, learn, and shape the future of bike- and scooter-sharing systems. The conference was hosted by BIXI, the city’s iconic bike-share system (recently named one of the top 25 innovations in the last 25 years by TIME Magazine). Partnering with the NABSA team and local host BIXI, Albrecht Events brought Momentum: The Power of Shared Micromobility to life.
Our role focused on supporting the behind-the-scenes details that shape a smooth, welcoming attendee experience. We worked closely with the teams at the Omni Mont-Royal & Pinnacle Live, coordinating logistics across meeting spaces, guest flow, and daily program needs to ensure the conference unfolded seamlessly from start to finish. Doing so allowed NABSA to focus on program content which included a strong focus on promoting DEIB within shared micromobility. Keynote & guest speakers included Mayor Valérie Plante as well as Founder and CEO of Equitable Cities, Charles T. Brown.
Albrecht also coordinated directly with conference Sponsors – ensuring each touchpoint, from branded spaces to session support, felt polished, intentional, and easy to navigate. Supporting sponsors with clear communication and technical coordination allowed them to focus on what mattered most: meaningful engagement with attendees.
Beyond the main program, we assisted with producing several key networking moments, one being the group’s off-site Welcome Reception at Riverside St-Henri. These experiences were designed to encourage connection while highlighting Montreal’s unique sense of style. Producing this conference allowed Albrecht Staff to collaborate with the local host committee in searching for and connecting with local vendors. A highlight was the popular Montreal-based DJ Julien Henry-Leblanc of Super Plage, who performed an upbeat set for the Welcome Reception.
What stood out most was the collaborative spirit. From early morning sessions to evening gatherings, the conference was filled with shared energy, thoughtful conversation, and genuine enthusiasm for the future of micromobility. Supporting NABSA in Montreal was a reminder of the power of well-produced events — when logistics fade into the background and community takes center stage.
